Creative Writer

About the Role

VentCube is a fast-growing digital marketing agency specialising in SEO, Google Ads, web design, and UI/UX for home services and professional businesses across the US. We're looking for a Creative Writer who can produce compelling, SEO-optimised content that drives organic traffic and converts readers into leads for our clients.

You will be embedded in our content and SEO team, working closely with SEO strategists and account managers to produce high-quality written assets across multiple industries. From long-form blog posts and service page copy to ad headlines and email sequences, your words will directly impact client results.

What You'll Do

• Write SEO-optimised blog posts, service pages, and landing pages for clients across home services and professional service industries
• Produce Google Ads copy, Meta ad copy, and email marketing sequences aligned to campaign goals
• Collaborate with SEO strategists to target the right keywords, match search intent, and structure content for rankings
• Adapt tone and style to match different client voices and audience personas
• Edit and proofread content produced by other team members or AI-assisted drafts
• Research industry trends, competitor content, and audience pain points to inform content strategy
• Meet editorial deadlines consistently while maintaining high content quality standards
• Incorporate feedback from clients and account managers to refine content through revisions

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience writing for digital marketing, SEO, or content agencies
• Strong portfolio demonstrating blog posts, landing pages, or ad copy across multiple niches
• Working knowledge of on-page SEO — keyword placement, heading structure, meta descriptions, internal linking
• Excellent command of English grammar, syntax, and tone-matching
• Ability to write clearly about technical or niche topics after research (no prior industry expertise required)
• Experience using tools like Surfer SEO, Clearscope, or similar is a plus
• Comfortable working remotely with a distributed team across US time zones
• Self-directed with strong time management — you own your deadlines

Nice to Have

• Experience writing for home services (HVAC, plumbing, roofing, landscaping) or professional services (law, accounting, medical)
• Familiarity with Google Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs for keyword research
• Basic understanding of conversion rate optimisation (CRO) principles
• Experience with AI writing tools (ChatGPT, Jasper, etc.) and knowing when not to rely on them
